Listed below are the eLearning courses available for you to access. Access is either granted manually by a NExT administrator or with an enrollment key which you will receive separately.

Access to the training modules except Petrel 2018 Getting Started and Introduction to Petrel Shale are subject to a fee. You can purchase access from our public website or your NExT business contact.

    Geology is a core science that underpins much of what we do in the Oil & Gas business. A good understanding of the principles of Geology as they apply to Petroleum is essential for any subsurface discipline.

    The primary objective of this course is to introduce E&P professionals to the key concepts and principles of Geology as applied to the Oil & Gas industry. The course will provide a summary of the fundamentals of Geology that need to be understood in order to integrate such information in the processes of petroleum exploration, development, and production.

    The Petrel Getting Started course introduces new users to Petrel functionality with emphasis on visualization, data organization and collaboration. The course covers basic usage of the application, providing an understanding of how to get started with Petrel. You will learn about Petrel project set-up, data import, visualization, creating simple surfaces and grids and performing basic quality checks.

    This 3 hour eLearning course introduces the basics of using Python in Techlog. Each video tutorial will guide you through a particular workflow which can follow along in your own Techlog project. This course is suitable for beginners with little or no prior experience with using Python in Techlog.

    Note that the video tutorials show workflows being carried out in Techlog 2016 and using Python version 2.7, however the workflows can also be completed using later releases of both Techlog and Python.

    The training workflows in this course cover the day-to-day tasks performed by a Director of Learning (DOL) in NExTpert. To complete the workflows demonstrated in the training, you must have the DOL role assigned to you in NExTpert.

    The training workflows in this course cover the day-to-day tasks performed by a Business Manager in NExTpert. To complete the workflows demonstrated in the training, you must have the Business Manager role assigned to you in NExTpert.

    The training workflows in this course cover the day-to-day tasks performed by a Training Coordinator in NExTpert. To complete the workflows demonstrated in the training, you must have the Training Coordinator role assigned to you in NExTpert.

    The training workflows in this course cover the day-to-day tasks performed by a Schlumberger Instructor in NExTpert. To complete the workflows demonstrated in the training, you must have the Instructor role assigned to you in NExTpert.
